How to fill out a form

The City of Lexington now offers fillable forms for residents and business owners! Please review the following notes carefully. 

Before you start
- Read any instructions or help text provided on the form page.
- Gather required documents and information (IDs, account numbers, dates).
- Use a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and update it if needed.

Basic steps to fill the form
1. Open the form and review all sections so you know what’s required.
2. Note that most fields are required unless otherwise stated. 
3. Some fields are dates: please use the drop-down box to select the correct date. 
4. Use dropdowns, radio buttons, and checkboxes correctly—click once to make a selection.
5. If the form supports autofill, review autofilled values carefully for accuracy.
6. The digital signature function is not yet available. Please type your name in where possible to serve as a signature. When you are next in City Hall, please take a moment to sign the forms after processing. 
7. When you SAVE the form (see the top of the window), this submits it to City Hall. ***Please do not save multiple times.***

Please note that Planning & Zoning forms are not yet available for online filling.
